A physician who looks beyond the bedside.

My path in medicine began at Nalanda Medical College, Patna, where Community Medicine captured my attention early. It showed me that the health of a person is shaped long before they reach a hospital: by the water they drink, the vaccines they receive, and whether a single illness can push their family into debt. I graduated as the Gold Medalist in the subject.

After my internship, I worked as a Junior Resident in the Department of Medicine at Sri Krishna Medical College & Hospital, Muzaffarpur. On the wards I saw the other side of the story: patients arriving late, families selling assets to pay for care, and conditions that could have been prevented.

Today, as an MD resident in Community Medicine at Darbhanga Medical College & Hospital, I study exactly that. My ICMR-supported thesis follows inpatients after discharge to measure out-of-pocket and catastrophic health expenditure, and how households recover. Alongside research, I build simple digital tools for rabies prophylaxis, immunization and OPD care, so frontline workers have the right guidance at the right moment.
